The owners of the Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies top the "Kings of Russian Real Estate" Forbes rating

28 January 2021

The owners of the Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies have once again been recognised as Russia's largest rentiers. The leading position in the Forbes ranking "Kings of Russian Real Estate" has been held by God Nisanov and Zarakh Iliev since 2012. With new projects coming on stream, the total area of commercial real estate owned by the Group of Companies in 2020 increased to 3.9 million square metres.

Their position as absolute leaders in the rating of Russian rentiers has been confirmed by the Group of Companies thanks to the implementation in 2020 of a number of landmark projects for Moscow. Despite the many complex challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 proved productive for Kievskaya Ploshchad and began with the purchase of Central Market on Rozhdestvensky Boulevard, whose concept continued the development of the Group’s gastronomic segment.

Last year, in the east of Moscow, Kievskaya Ploshchad built one of the largest multifunctional complexes in the capital, Schelkovskiy, which includes a transport interchange hub with a new, modern bus station and the eponymous shopping and entertainment centre. In early December, Kievskaya Ploshchad signed an agreement with the world-renowned hotel operator Accor to open Russia's first hotel under the luxury Raffles brand on Varvarka, and also began construction of the Nagatinskaya transport interchange hub.

Thanks to the development of existing projects and the implementation of new ones, the total area of the Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies’ commercial real estate increased to 3.9 million square metres in 2020.

God Nisanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies:

«The coronavirus pandemic has made significant adjustments to the economy and to people’s lives around the world. However, work has not been suspended on any of the Kievskaya Ploshchad projects in 2020, and we are making every effort to keep the deadlines for introducing new facilities unchanged.

"Kievskaya Ploshchad plans to develop the concept of the FOOD CITY agrocluster in 24 regions of Russia in the coming years. As part of a new global project, we have already begun to develop the Domodedovo site, which will be the first regional platform for the introduction of a unique digital platform using an electronic exchange.

"We look to the future with great optimism and will continue to bring the latest trends to the Russian commercial real estate market, using unique innovative technologies. The ultimate goal of our work has always been positive change which improves the image of the city, transforming and developing regions, creating new jobs and improving the quality of people’s lives».
