Nagatinskaya intermodal passenger transport hub construction project wins Moscow Architecture and Urban Planning Award

The construction project of the Nagatinskaya Intermodal Passenger Transport Hub implemented by Kiyevskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies has become the winner of the annual Moscow Architecture and Urban Planning Award in the Best Architectural and Urban Planning Solution for the Administrative Business and Shopping Facility nomination.

Nagatinskaya Intermodal Passenger Transport Hub is a multi-level transit passenger hub comprised of 16 ground and 3 underground floors with a system of comfortable crossings built according to a “clean shoe” concept. The transport hub will provide a change from suburban trains to city ground and underground transport, thus considerably reducing the travel time.

Three transport modes will be united under the roof of the transport terminal: a railway platform, Nagatinskaya metro station of the Line 9 and city ground passenger transport of several routes. The intermodal transport hub will allow improving the transport situation on Varshavskoye Highway when moving from the city center.

Nagatinskaya Intermodal Passenger Transport Hub is scheduled to be put into operation in 2023.

The Moscow Architecture and Urban Planning Award has been established in 2017 with the support of the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin. The award is granted for the development of the most expressive, creatively different, high-quality architectural and urban planning solutions for capital construction facilities, which implementation meets the tasks for creation of a comfortable urban environment and contributes to the prospective development of the construction industry in Moscow.
