Moscow Committee for Pricing Policy in Construction and State Project Inspection agrees a project for the Nagatinskaya transport hub multifunctional complex

30 July 2020

Moscow Committee for Pricing Policy in Construction and State Project Inspection has agreed a project for an office and shopping centre with an area of almost 230 000 square metres as part of the Nagatinskaya transport hub in the Nagorny region of the capital. As part of the commercial development of the hub, which is being carried out by the Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies, a 10-16-storey building with parking for more than 1300 cars is being built, combining a business centre, shopping complex, cafes, restaurants, a multi-hall cinema, fitness centre with swimming pool and an entertainment area.

The Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies will create a multi-level transit passenger complex with a system of convenient and comfortable transfers at any time of the year. Built on the "dry feet" principle, the transport hub will provide passengers with transfers from trains to buses and metros using convenient dry crossings and will significantly reduce travel times.

The transport terminal will combine three modes of transport under one roof: a railway platform, Nagatinskaya metro station on the Serpukhov-Timiryazevskaya line and urban vehicles serving several routes. In 2023, more than 300 000 people a day will pass through the Nagatinskaya transport hub. It is expected that the transport and transfer complex will improve the transport situation on Varshavskoye Shosse when driving from the city centre.

The Nagatinskaya transport hub will consist of 16 above-ground and 3 underground floors. The building will have a two-storey underground and three-storey above-ground car park with parking for 1300 cars and a total area of more than 50 000 square metres.

The ground floor will contain a well-lit walking area with paving and benches where visitors can relax or wait out the bad weather. A shopping centre will occupy seven floors. Offices with a total area of more than 45 000 square metres will occupy six floors of the building. Restaurants will be located on the functioning roof of the Nagatinskaya hub. The entertainment area will feature an eight-hall cinema with a capacity of more than 1000 seats, a fitness centre with swimming pool and a banquet hall.

It is worth mentioning that all arrangements for people with disabilities, including ramps, signage, larger lifts and many other amenities, will be made in the hub. The transport hub is scheduled to be commissioned in 2023.

Reference: The project will use forward-looking digital solutions, a combination of intelligent engineering systems, automation and energy efficiency within the building.

God Nisanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies, comments:

"Today, Kievskaya Ploshchad is focused on implementing large-scale, socially significant projects for Moscow that meet the dynamic pace of development within the metropolis. We have created a modern world-class transport hub on the site of the Shcholkovsky bus station, and reconstruction of Olimpiyskiy is in full swing.

“I am delighted that Kievskaya Ploshchad is starting construction of another transport and transfer hub - Nagatinskaya - which will be a unique project built on the "dry feet" principle. In this way, the transport hub will provide residents with additional convenience: passengers will be able to transfer from trains to buses and metros via comfortable dry passages, without leaving the premises. This will significantly reduce their travel time.

"Kievskaya Ploshchad will do everything possible to provide Moscow with a modern world-class transport terminal with a wealth of infrastructure, an office centre and restaurant complex by 2023, which will be a catalyst for the development of nearby areas and significantly improve the city’s transport situation."
