Kievskaya Ploshchad helps make COVID-19 vaccination more accessible

19 February 2021

Continuing to support society in the fight against the new coronavirus infection, the Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies has opened mobile vaccination centres at several of its facilities. The Depo.Moscow food mall, Evropeiskiy shopping and entertainment centre and Schelkovskiy mutlifunctional complex are ready to welcome all those who want to protect themselves from COVID-19.

The choice of facilities for opening mobile vaccination rooms is not accidental. All facilities are conveniently located in terms of transport accessibility, and are very popular with Muscovites and visitors to the capital.

The Evropeiskiy and DEPO shopping malls have extensive experience in organising and carrying out medical preventive measures in high-traffic conditions. Evropeiskiy has for many years been among the leaders in terms of footfall among shopping centres in Europe, and the daily throughflow of the Depo.Moscow food mall is more than 25,000 Muscovites and visitors to the capital.

Schelkovskiy is the largest multifunctional complex in the Eastern Administrative District, which is home to more than 1.5 million people. The multifunctional complex is located right next to the Schelkovskaya metro station and combines the transport interchange hub with the Central bus station and the eponymous shopping and entertainment centre. Every day, tens of thousands of people use the infrastructure of the shopping and entertainment centre and bus station, and the total passenger flow through the centre is about 200,000 people a day.

This arrangement provides a wide range of coverage of different populations, making the COVID-19 vaccine even more accessible.

The vaccination procedure against the new coronavirus infection is carried out in special rooms, prepared according to the standards of the Russian Consumer Supervision Office (Rospotrebnadzor) and required for the organisation of vaccination rooms. The vaccine is stored in refrigeration chambers and defrosted just before vaccination. Special measures are taken at the sites to prevent congestion, social distancing is maintained with special markings, and special measures are in place to prevent the spread of the disease: mandatory wearing of PPE, thermometry, disinfection treatment and provision of antiseptic dispensers.
