The “Central” Bus Station, which is part of the Shchelkovsky multifunctional complex, has become increasingly popular in Moscow. In 2021, half a million people visited it.

The “Central” Bus Station is located near the Shchelkovskaya metro station and is part of the transport hub of the same name, which is part of the Shchelkovsky multifunctional complex. It is also the first rooftop bus station in Russia, and is the largest bus station as part of the complex in Europe.

World experience shows that projects for integrating stations and spaces where you can shop, go to the cinema and spend time with children are successful and very popular among passengers. Half a million people who have visited the “Central” bus station (almost half of all people who have used Moscow bus stations this year) prove this.

Another unique feature of the “Central” bus station is its architectural solution, which made it possible to "raise" the passenger platforms to the roof of the Shchelkovsky multifunctional complex. Special ramps for transport are located at a height of 32 meters and are designed, among other things, for comfortable double-decker buses of modern international lines. This design makes it possible to separate traffic and pedestrian flows by level.

Passengers have access to 150 intercity routes in 12 directions - to Yaroslavl, Rybinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Suzdal and other cities.

The bus station’s location on the rooftop has significantly improved the transport situation in the area.
